Line 6 Variax 700

Line 6, based in Agoura Hills, west of Los Angeles, is renouned for it’s pioneering work in developing digital devices that provide realistic recreations of classic amplifier sounds and effects.

In 2003, it made a significant addition to it’s range of so-called “modeling” products when it launched the Variax, the first-ever guitar to offer simulations of a variety of instruments, from acoustic flat-tops to solid electrics, at the touch of a switch, offering what Line 6 describes as “the sounds of an entire guitar collection”. Reviewers gave the revolutionary new axe a warm reception.

The featured model is a tremolo-equipped instrument from the company’s 700 series, finished in translucent “Amber”.
