The guitar’s “Blue Surf Burst” finish and board-shaped soundholes contribute to it’s informal, fun-looking image, but it is unquestionably a serious instrument, with no shortage of bright, powerful tone, especially when plugged into an amp or PA that can do justice to it’s impressively specified internal pickup system and OP30 preamp. Like most Ovations, it boasts a slimline neck, and spruce top.
