Parker P-44
Since the launch of the Fly, Parker’s range has expanded to include new models such as Niteflys (featuring bolt-on necks instead of the complex “multifingered neck joints” used on the original Flys), as well as basses and even acoustics.
In 2002, the company introduced it’s less expensive P-Series. This was a welcome development for players unable to afford thousands of dollars for one of Parker’s premium guitars. Among the most successful of the “Ps” (whose construction is contracted out by Parker) is the P-44.
This model has recently been reintroduced after a period of absence from Parker’s catalog. Like the Niteflys, the P-44 has a bolted neck (made from maple), a rosewood fingerboard, and dual pickup systems.
