PRS Single Cutaway
Paul Reed Smith started making guitars in high school, and started making guitars for a living out of college. He started by making them one at a time, and counted himself lucky if he could produce one each month. Befriending roadies gave him the opportunity to sell his guitars, backstage, to several stars, including Carlos Santana, Al Di Meola, and Howard Leese.
With a strong team of craftsmen and financial backers, Paul Reed Smith started the company that bears his name.
This single cutaway artist package instrument was made to celebrate PRS’s twentieth anniversary. It has a mahogany neck and body, carved one-piece quilted maple top, rosewood fretboard, and shell inlays.
