Yamaha Pacifica 112 (with MIDI)
Like the Pacifica 112, Yamaha’s more expensive Pacifica 912 is a highly versatile solid-body.It boasts three DiMarzio pickups, a PAF Pro at the bridge, and two Stratocaster-style HS-2s in the middle and neck positions.
This particular one has had a synthesizer added on in order to interface with it. The unit is a GK-2A made by the Japanese Roland Corporation. It enables signals from the Pacifica to be used to trigger sounds from external synths and samplers. This makes it possible for the guitar to sound like a trumpet, sax, or almost any other instrument, and it allows notes and chords to be recorded as MIDI (Musical Instrument Digital Interface) data.
