Schuyler Dean began making hand-carved guitars back in 2015 and has been designing several custom takes on vintage classics. The Duelsonic takes a familiar offset alder body, maple neck, 25.5” scale and adds stereo electronics, gold foil pickups, a behind-the-bridge pickup and serious premium hardware.

Stereo controls can be accessed by operating an A/B footswitch, sending bridge and neck pickups to two different amps or signal chains. This allows for a wide range of sonic possibilities. One can also simply just plug in a standard mono cable for normal operation. Overall features include:

  • Gold pearl nitrocellulose lacquer
  • 100% handmade construction
  • Mastery vibrato
  • Gold foil Jazzmaster pickups
  • Case, footswitch, and 15’ stereo cable

Handmade in Schuyler’s Nashville workshop, these models carry a hefty price tag of $2750.
