Martin OMC-16E

Like the 000C-16GTE, this 21st century version of Martin’s classic Orchestra Model features a high-specification Fishman preamp system, utilizing both a gooseneck-mounted microphone and a bridge-saddle pickup.

But while the 000C-16 sports a conventional preamp panel on it’s side, the OM’s remarkable unobtrusive “Ellipse” unit is positioned beneath the instrument’s top, and its blend, volume, phase, and microphone trim controls are all accessible via the soundhole.

The guitar itself is available with three different bosy woods. This example has a back and sides of figured koa. Maple and sapele are substituted for this on other OMC-16Es, although all the models have a Sitka spruce top.
