Yamaha Pacifica 112
In 1990, Yamaha launched it’s “Pacifica” range of solid-body electric guitars, “bred to perform in the most demanding musical situations”.
The instruments included both single- and double-cutaway designs, and were fitted with DiMarzio pickups.
Rich Lasner, created them, he was a highly regarded music industry figure who had previously worked at Ibanez.
The Pacificas’ bold styling and impressive specifications made them best sellers. The Pacifica 112 seen here has been widely recommended by reviewers and teachers as an ideal, relatively inexpensive beginner’s guitar.
Unusually for a cheaper axe, one of it’s three pickups is a humbucker. It also boasts a robust vibrato, alder body, and 22-fret maple neck.
