Fury Bandit
The city of Saskatoon, in the Canadien province of Saskatchewan has been the home of Fury Guitars since 1962.
The company was founded by instrument designer Glenn McDougall, and is still run by him and his wife, Janet. Glenn set up the company to start manufacturing the Fireball electric guitar he had been developing; however, he was unable to devolte himself full time to lutherie until 1966.
The first decade of the new company’s existence was “an uphill struggle”, but many of the design features Glenn developed during those early years are still found on today’s Furys. The current catalog includes modernized versions of the Fireball and another 1960’s model, the Fury Bandit.
The tailpiece of the “Bandit” features a humbucking pickup and a chrome-plated knurled volume knob.
