Introduced in 1998, this model featured onboard electronics and their own distinctive headstock shape, along with the intriguing design concept of an arched back on a flat-top cutaway body.

Available in at least five different combinations of woods and ornamentation (plus a 12-string), the Sandpipers were last offered in 2004.
