Baby Taylor 305GB
Introduced in 1996, the Baby Taylor featured a 3/4-size body and it came with a small price tag, which was due to it’s laminated sapele back and sides and lack of binding (although the solid spruce top maintained the traditional Taylor sound).
It was designed to be a travel guitar for musicians of all levels, and also to be a starter instrument that young players with small hands could handle.
Inspired by the success of the Baby, Taylor created another addition to the family in 2000. The Big Baby Taylor was a no-frills, 15/16 version of a full-size guitar that provided an intermediate step-up from the Baby to the standard Taylor models.
