Dana Bourgeois’s reputation was elevated considerably in 1997 with the introduction of this model.
Martin Simpson is an English guitarist who lived in America at the time and was well-established as an electric artist, with a background in folk and a taste for everything from blues to bluegrass to Cajun music.
This model guitar had a large dreadnaught body and a 12-fret neck for a booming sound, but it had a “fallaway” cutaway that not only made it easily recognizable but also distinguished Bourgeois from the growing field of Martin-influenced guitar makers.
