D’Angelico Electric (1960)

This 1960 guitar is 16.75 inches wide, which is a quarter-inch larger than many others.

Unlike the two-pickup examples, which typically had only two control knobs, this one has four knobs providing individual volume and tone controls for each of the humbucking pickups.

The “Rhythm/Treble” ring around the pickup selector switch on the cutaway bout, along with the mottled-pattern pickguard, suggest that D’Angelico grabbed parts from wherever he could find them.
