In 2002, Gibson saluted the late Bob Marley with a limited edition model based on his Les Paul Special.

The instrument’s mahogany body is overlaid with a picture of Marley’s face, while the rectangular position markers on it’s fingerboard are red, gold, and green; widely regarded as Jamaica’s national colors.

The headstock carries the words “One Love”, the title of the classic Marley song featured on his 1977 Exodus LP, and there is a mocked-up “signature” on it’s truss-rod cover.
