Ibanez JTK1BT Jet King

The Hoshino Gakki Company started manufacturing musical instruments in the Japanese city of Nagoya in the 1930s. Thanks to a distribution deal with Harry Rosenbloom, a music store proprieter from Ardmore, PA, their guitars began to appear in the USA in the 60s. They were issued under the brand name “Ibanez”.

Initially, many of these instruments resembled classic Gibsons, Fenders, and Rickenbackers. But by the late 1970s, the company was developing instruments for leading American artists such as Bob Weir of the Grateful Dead, and George Benson.

The Jet King range is for players who prefer a “retro” feel to their guitar.
