Lakland Skyline Joe Osborn Bass

In 1994, Dan Lakin began manufacturing bass guitars in partnership with instrument technician Hugh McFarland. They christened the business Lakland.

The company manufactured meticulously crafted basses started to attract leading players including the late Rick Danko, formerly of The Band. Other famous customers have included US’s Adam Clayton, Booker T, and the MGs and Blues Brothers stalwart Donald “Duck” Dunn, and Daryl Jones, who plays with the Rolling Stones.

The Lakland model is shown here is a Skyline Joe Osborn is a celebrated session player. It represents a Fender Jazz bass, but incorporates updated pickups and other updates.
