Music Man Albert Lee

British guitarist Albert Lee (b.1943) began his professional career as a teenager, quickly building a reputation for his country-influenced picking style.

He was soon spending much of his time in the USA, where he performed with many famous groups and artists, including the late Buddy Holly’s former group The Crickets, Emmylou Harris’s Hot Band, Eric Clapton, and the Everly Brothers. Guitar Player has voted him “Best Country Guitar Picker” five times.

Albert Lee’s “signature” Music Man guitar  began life as a prototype in the late 1980s, and has been commercially available since 1994. It features a distinctive shaped body made from ash, and three single-coil pickups.

This particular one is a “hard tail” version (vibrato and bridge-mounted transducer versions are also available) and it has single-coil pickups supplied by Seymour Duncan.
