Rickenbacker 330
Founder Adolph Rickenbacker remained at the company until 1953, when he sold the company to F.C. Hall, a man with an impressive music industry track record, who had previously been involved in the distribution of Fender guitars. Under his leadership, Rickenbacker (as the business was now known) was soon introducing models that would attract an enthusiastic new generation of customers to the company.
The most iconic of these designs were the “300” series of thinline hollowbodies launched in 1958. Roger Rossmeisl, who had qualified as a guitar maker in Germany and was a former Gibson staffer, had created these.
This instrument is a Rickenbacker 330, and has a “Mapleglow” finish.
