Rickenbacker 360
All thinline Rickenbacker 300s are made from maple, have rosewood fingerboards, and share the same body shapes and depth (this was standardized at 1 1/2 inches in 1962).
Their principal differences relate to quantities of frets (21 or 24), numbers of pickups (2 or 3), presence of absence of vibrato, and types of decoration, all of which are categorized by the numerical codes by which the guitars are known. 21-fret necks are restricted to models numbered 310 to 325. These, together with lower-ranking 300s (up to 345) are “standard” thinlines. They have no bindings and only plain dot fret markers.
However, instruments coded 360 and above, like this one from 1976, are classified as “deluxe” and boast extra decorative touches.
