The Yamaha CPX range of acoustics includes four themed instruments inspired by the points of the compass.

The “south” model, finished in “Miami Ocean Blue”, is intended to evoke a “tropical island paradise”.

Thanks to it’s “two-way” onboard electronics, boasting both a bridge saddle pickup and an internally mounted microphone, the guitar is sure to sound good in the often less than idyllic environment of a live gig, where any feedback can be eliminated by fitting a specially designed cover over its elegant soundhole.

The other three Compasses are equally striking: the “north” CPX boasts an “Arctic” finish, while it’s “east” and “west” cousins feature (respectively) Egyptian and Wild West motifs.
